The popularity of online banking in Ukraine is growing rapidly, which in turn encourages cyberhawks to invent more and more ways of taking money from the accounts of users of electronic billing.
According to the "Kaspersky Lab" study, 55% of Ukrainian Internet users make purchases online today. About 39% of the respondents work daily with the bank account on the PC, and 29% and 17%, respectively, make payments through tablets and smartphones.
The growing popularity of online banking encourages the cyberhawks to make up newer and newer ways of obtaining money from the electronic user accounts. This means that the future holds even more malicious programs designed to steal financial information.
Already now, users are rather often faced with cyber threats in the implementation of online transactions. For example, 29% of world respondents said that as a result of opening email attachments their computer was infected.
In 26% of Internet users while shopping online were redirected to questionable sites, offering to leave their bank card data. And 16% entered personal or financial information on suspicious web pages.
Therefore, one should be careful while making payments via the Internet, to avoid theft of confidential financial information and loss of money. For this purpose, it is highly recommended not only to be cautious but also use special software systems for computer security.
